Identify highlights and best practices for future projects. 3 Project Closure Report Summary 1. 5 Project Background Overview Currently Bananas USA fraud monitoring is not real time and it is manual processing. In addition, it is segmented by different areas thus creating asperity of transaction monitoring fraud in different areas.
The main objective of this project was to employ a fraud monitoring system that provides an automated means to monitor transactions such as Bedsides, SWIFT, CAR, Online, and others on a real time basis prior to their release for processing. The system should provide a mechanism to suspend suspicious transactions and issue alerts so the transactions can be reviewed and appropriate action be taken. 1. 6 Project Objectives The objectives of this project are to: Ensure that end users have input into the design process. Accomplish project business goals and objectives within defined budget and time parameters.
Provides recommendations on transactions Detects, prevents, controls and alerts on potential fraudulent or risky operations Recommends refusal or approval requests for transfers, payments, withdrawals, debit, or credit notes. Offers sub-modules for account specific monitoring (DAD, Savings) and Activity based monitoring (Transfers, Investigation Workflow, Real-Time) Provides a learning system The project has achieved all of these objectives.
