Friends, us through our teenage years. These

Friends, family, teachers and fellow graduates, today is the day. We stand here today on the precipice of the future, it isn’t a distant reality anymore. It begins here. It begins today. We all began high school as children and I’d like to say that we are all leaving as adults but some of us will always be kids at heart. We have so much to be thankful for. We have received a great education thanks to the amazing administration and teachers that have been guiding us all the way, this education will serve as our platform that we will use to launch ourselves into our futures. Some of us will continue on with schooling and some will move straight into the workforce. But whether you intend to continue your education or not, every single one of us will benefit from what we learned here. I suppose we should also be thankful for our parents who had to put up with all of us through our teenage years. These past four years have presented us with a lot of ups and downs and it will always be comforting to know we had our families in our corner, supporting and helping us all along the way. A big thank you to all the parents and guardians out there. One of the most lasting effects of our time here together will be the friendships that we have made that will last a lifetime. We have all helped and supported each other to reach success in these short years together and I hope that we will continue to support and encourage each other and build and grow our friendships. One of the biggest fears I think most of us share is change, and I am no exception and understand there is lots of change coming. This change will bring challenge and no matter what path we take, there are challenges ahead of us. What I ask from each one of you and even myself, is to meet those challenges straight on with your head held high. Excel in everything you do and strive for excellence in every task. This is no easy thing I ask of you, but we just survived high school so I have no doubt that every one of us can handle the times ahead. Work hard and reach your full potential and push beyond that. If every one of the graduating students is able to take up the challenges of life, imagine how much we can change the world. The future is truly in our hands, so let’s make the most of it.Congratulations class of 2017
