The article concludes that part of the “unexplained part” of the gender wage gap is believed to be due to discrimination. The authors give a multitude of reasons however they conclude that the differences in pay is due to the personality of the person from their own personal lifestyles and how they pick and choose in the labor market.


 This article does provide a broad overview of the topic by giving a specific example, it is widely believed that the gap in wages in due discrimination.  This article directly relates to the sexism because it mentions that women are considerably under paid by their employers and takes a look a common belief that it is due to an educational gap. This research article talks about the inequality and gender discrimination for women’s experiences at work.

The article “Why Do Women Still Earn Less Than Men”, talks about why women earn less than men. Women’s get paid less because of gender. Education also plays a huge part because, women tend to get an education that are less paying fields. The more educated women usually work as a teacher or nursing. Males’ on the other hand work as a lawyer, they become business executive, scientist, doctor; they get jobs which has an advanced paying. Females that do professions in male dominated get paid less because female are not respected there. Females do not get appreciated because they are going to start a family which will eventually cause them to quit and do a part time job. The article also stated that discrimination has been reduced but, discrimination still occurs. In conclusion gender discrimination, education and starting a family are few reasons why females earn less than males.
