Immigration has always been in existence in the United States since the beginning of American History. At the turn of the 20th century immigration has been an issue for the people in this country. There are many problems that the United States faces and the one that is causing several debates is illegal immigration. Thousands and thousands of illegal immigrants have come from many different places. All of them have different desires. America is supposed to be the land of the free so why is illegal immigration such a big issue in America?
For the past hundreds of years immigrants have flooded the shores of the United States, looking for a new life, a second chance. Many of these immigrants came poor, with little or no money, their only belongings being the clothes on their backs. These immigrants, with very little education, made and continue to make a big impact on the history of the United States. Immigration affects the United States’ economy in a positive way, without hardly any adverse effects.
Immigrants have been treated unfairly and unjustly since they started coming to the United States, and many new laws were created by the immigrant-hating government officials to help rid the US of these persons. Illegal immigrants should be granted amnesty. Amnesty won’t depress wages – globalization has already done that. Amnesty will not undermine the rule of law. It sounds counterintuitive, but with immigration, forgiving a crime may be the best way to restore law and order. Everyone deserves a chance to show what they are capable of having a better life in America.
Immigration has always been in existence in the United States since the beginning of American History. Toady immigration seems to be an issue in America. America is supposed to be the land of the free. Immigrants come here to America for a better life; the government doesn’t treat them fairly and just deports them even when they don’t have anything in their home land. Immigrants risk their lives to live in America. Illegal immigration shouldn’t be an issue in the land of the free.
